This is an article about how Rodger Clemens and Barry Bonds both did not get voted into the hall of fame this year. These are two of the greatest hitters and pitchers in baseball history and they are not being voted in. This is because of the use of steroids by both of these players. Both of these players were convicted of the use of steroids, and now people are very hesitant to give awards to them because of their cheating. Major League Baseball is currently trying to reduce use of steroids in baseball, and legacies like these two players are a current reminder of what steroids can do.
I think that these two players should not be allowed into the hall of fame, and they should not get any other honors. By giving them awards, Baseball is basically encouraging others to try to cheat and get away with it. This is a good example of how someone's want for glory and fame caused them to do terrible things, and now they are facing the consequences. People like this should be punished, and they should not be allowed to get away with their actions. These people are not only hurting themselves, but also the people who earn fame and glory the right way. Ultimately this type of ambition always ends up hurting others who are able to control their ambitions.
Its really a shame that these guys would waste their talents by using steroids.... their careers and achievements will forever be remembered with an asterisk next to it for their cheating.
